Precautions for summer maintenance of sightseeing buses.
1. Battery and circuit
Avoid high temperatures at noon when charging, and choose a ventilated place in the morning and evening. After a heavy rain, open the electric control box to check whether water has entered. If water stains are found, wipe them with a dry cloth.
Clean the rust on the battery terminals every week (you can soak them in cola and then brush them) to prevent poor contact.
2. Tires and brakes
The tire pressure is about 5% lower than the standard value (if the standard is 2.5bar, adjust it to 2.3-2.4bar) to avoid a surge in tire pressure after exposure.
Switch to low gear on long downhill sections to reduce overheating and failure caused by continuous braking.
3. Sun protection and cooling
Simple sunshade method: spread a wet towel on the front windshield (the cooling is obvious but regular water replenishment is required).
Air conditioning use: open the window for ventilation for 1 minute before turning on the cooling. Setting the temperature above 25℃ will save more electricity.
4. Emergency preparation
Keep 3 items in the car: bottled water (cooling/drinking), insulating tape (temporary wiring wrapping), tow rope (car stuck rescue).
Note: Old cars need to focus on checking wiring aging (such as rubber cracking) and oil leakage, which are the main causes of spontaneous combustion in summer. Simple problems can be handled by yourself, and complex faults must be contacted by the maintenance point.
